Camp Philosophy

As a ministry of Northside Baptist Church, Pathfinder Summer Bible Camp has the goal of guiding young Christians toward the decision to follow Christ with their life, both in Salvation and in Sanctification.
We try to accomplish that purpose by creating an atmosphere that is fun, relaxed, competitive, yet clearly focused on the preaching of God’s Word, Scripture memory, and focused Bible Study.

Camp Specifics

Team Competition:  Campers will be divided into two teams, the Olympic Bolts vs. the Marathon Mavericks, that will compete to earn points through Scripture Memory, Team Games, Cabin Challenges...the list could go on!

Schedule: Each day is planned out to include morning chapel, evening preaching services, God and I time, Scripture memory, competition, games, free time activities, evening snack as well as great food from our camp kitchen.

Accommodations: This is an overnight camp.  Children stay in a secure cabin area that is locked each night.  Camp is closely supervised by our camp staff throughout the night as well.

Camp Verse

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Camp Theme

The theme this year is the Amazing Race.  We will be in the book of Acts all week, learning about the life of the Apostle Paul, in the morning chapel and through our God and I Time as well.  Below is a list of the memory Verses we will be learning.  (You can get a head start!)

General Camp Information

Arrival: Camp begins on Monday, July 31st.  Check-in will be in the gymnasium at 3 p.m.

Departure: Camp ends Friday, August 4th.  Pick-up will be in the gymnasium at 9 a.m.

What to bring: Bible, pen, sleeping bag, pillow, towels, soap and toiletries, sports clothes for activities, and at least one pair of old sneakers (to get wet).

Do not bring: Scooters, skateboards, electronic devices (media players, radios, video games...), musical instruments, valuables, flashlights, or any other extra item that would be a distraction during the week.  We also ask that campers not bring cell phones to camp.

Dress standards: to maintain the Scriptural guidelines for modesty, we would ask that all clothing cover the shoulders, extend to the knee, be loose-fitting and not draw attention to the body.  Parents, please help your child as they are choosing clothes for camp.  Make sure their clothing meets the above guidelines.

For evening services, campers will be allowed to wear their activity dress but will be given a chance to clean up before the service.

Camp Medical Staff: There will be medical staff available during check-in to receive any medications for campers.  There will also be first-aid care available for emergencies.  In the case of an emergency that needs outside medical attention, parents will always be notified immediately.  Please be sure to mark any allergies clearly on your registration form.

Meals: All meals are included in the price of the camp.  Those on special diets would need to bring their own necessary supplements.

Snack and Canteen: There will be a light snack on each evening right after the evening competition.  There will be daily canteen time when kids will be able to choose snacks like ice cream, fruit, fruit snacks, and popsicles.  The cost of these snacks are included in the cost of camp.  No extra cash is needed.

Registration: There are limited spots for camp, so early registration is very important.  Please register your child as soon as possible.  Registrations will be processed in the order they are received.

Camp Speaker

Jeremy Frazor is a native of Greenville, SC. At the age of five, he received Christ as his personal Savior. During his teen years he struggled with giving his whole life to Christ and began to rebel and live his life selfishly. Those years of rebellion were tough years. God did a real work of brokenness in Jeremy’s life, and he finally gave his life to Christ at the age of 17. He began studying for the ministry at Bob Jones University where he finished his undergraduate degree as a Bible major.

Jeremy has traveled with the Steve Pettit Evangelistic Team, served as preacher and ministry team leader for BJU, served as assistant pastor with the Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, TN, and served as the camp director and speaker for Northland Camp and Conference Center Junior camp called Pioneer Village. In the fall of 2007, they began the Frazor Evangelistic Association.

Jeremy and Misha have five children, Tommy, Corey, Jayden, Zachary, and Kaleya.

Nothing from August 16, 2017 to July 15, 2018.
